![]() I read "host editor support" to mean supporting Affinity Photo as a host editor.īut, as far as I was aware, Topaz Studio already worked with Affinity Photo, which was what prompted the "if anyone is interested" beginning, because a) I wasn't sure how many people were using Topaz and AP, and b) because it seemed to already work.īut, I assumed that for people who used the two programs, unlike me, there may still have been niggly problems that this "official" support release now fixed. ![]() I took you "not understanding what it means" as implying a question asking me if "I knew what it meant" OK, seems we (or maybe its just me) are having some minor communication problems. Strange, you started the thread with the comment "If it's of interest to anyone" Reading the installation /accessibility instructions on the Topaz site, it appears they have added yet another way of accessing Studio from Affinity, but I still wouldn't regard Topaz as a "host" for Affinity, more the other way round. In fact, there appears to be no difference and Topaz is still accessed from the "Filter" menu in Affinty. by the "Filters" menu, or via "Edit in" in Lightroom.īecause I was havng no problems accessing Topaz I was a little puzzked by the announcement from Topaz that Studio now provided "host editor support for Serif Affinity Photo" Since adopting Affinity I have continued to access the Topaz programs in the same way, i.e. I would have described Affinity as the "host" and Topaz Studio provided additional adjustments, at least that's how I use it, and before "Studio" the various Topaz programs were accessed as "plug-ins" from a host program, usually either Lightroom or Photoshop. Click to expand.Strange, you started the thread with the comment "If it's of interest to anyone"Īs a long time user of Topaz, but having only recently started using Affinity, I was puzzled by the statement that Topaz Studio was a "host editor" for Affinity.
